Ooo La La Lace Necklace

So the funniest part about this necklace is that after I finished C (he's 4)  picked it up and said "Ooo la la ma ma that is nice" Oh how sweet my little 4 year old is! I love him.
Are you ready, this will be quick cause it is SO EASY! First I dropped by Walmart is Am and got a bag of Marbles. They were back in the floral department, it cost my $4 for a 3lb bag! That is A TON of marbles but I Didn't see a smaller bag so I went with it. You can use any beads though!

Here are the supplies I used. Ribbon, lace and marbles, I also used a button at the end for the center of my flower. you could do without a flower or try something else!

1. Gather your Supplies!
2. Sew a tube of your fabric or tulle. It only needs to be as wide as your marble or bead.If you are using a printed fabric make sure that you sew right sides together.
3. Turn your tube right side out. You can use a safety pin to make it easy and quick.
4. Tie your first knot where you want your beads or necklace to start, I wanted to use ribbon so I filled my entire tube with marbles then sewed the ribbon on later.
5. After your first knot drop in a marble or bead and make a knot on the opposite side of the marble. Then drop in you next marble and repeat with as many marbles as you would like.
6. Tie off your last marble and wear as is or add a flower or bow make multiple strands or add chains. The possibilities are endless! HAVE fun~ I'm going to make one for the girls now!

Happy Crafting~!

Chicken Gyros w Homemade Pita Bread!

Homemade Pita Bread recipe from Annie Eats Blog
Oh pinterest how you have expanded my culinary experience! I see hundreds of things I want to try and I am SO glad I picked this one!!! DO NOT be intimidated by the homemade pita it is seriously wonderful and Really easy! believe me if it wasn't easy I wouldn't do it! I used my pizza stone as suggested and it worked great, my pitas cooked to perfection in about 4 minutes. I also used whole wheat flour just because I thought it would be good of me. It turned out wonderful! For the sauce I should have probably let it sit longer but it is still full of flavor, I used McCormick's perfect pinch Mediterranean instead of oregano and it is yummy! I also put Feta on the second one cause um YUM! so give it a try and let me know what you think!

Chicken Gyro! Sauce also from Annie Eats I took my Gyro outside for a slightly better picture. As soon as I find my other camera in the midst of unpacked boxes then I will try for some better pictures!

A is for Acorn

Colin had a special day at Preschool! It was his VIP day! For this special day he got to bring treats for his entire class. Since it was "A" week we made Chocolate Acorns! Here is how we did it!
What you need is some Mini Nilla wafers, Hershey Kisses and melting chocolate ( I prefer Wilton's).

 1. I started by melting  my chocolate in the microwave and then put it in a small baggie, snipped the corner and used it like a pastry bag.

2.I then set out all my nilla wafers and put a dab of Chocolate on the top for the stem.

3. After the chocolate was dry, I then took my Hersey's kiss and covered the flat top with a layer of melted chocolate from my bag.

4. Finally I topped the Kiss with a wafer! Its that easy. I placed them upside down to dry! I made 45 and it took me about 30mins or so! They are so fun and super easy!!!

Pinteresting!

So I of course have joined the pinterest world! Haven't done so DO IT! and follow me! I have been trying some super cute projects and putting my own spin on most of them! So with a little persuasion from a sweet aunt I am going to start blogging about all the things I try. Maybe it will help someone else to achieve a goal or project by seeing where I have run into problems and difficulty while trying new things. Want to try something but want me to be the Guinea pig and try it first!! Let me know! Ill do it!!
Much Loves
